Li'l Wahoo McDaniel to appear on !BANG!

He is the son of Chief Wahoo McDaniel. I first heard of his father as he carved his name into the Texas High School record books as a running back for Midland High. His father went on the stardom as a linebacker for Oklahoma University playing for Bud Wilkenson in the days of their forty game winning streak and the NCAA national championship. Chief Wahoo went on to pro football where he played for the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos.

Shortly after I broke into the wrestling business, my father called and said I've got this crazy Indian coming into the territory to wrestle for us. His name is Wahoo McDaniel. I said, "I know he is crazy, I heard he threw a soft drink machine out of the second floor of the Oklahoma University dormitory because it took his change and didn't give him a soda in return. Dory Funk Sr.  became the coach of Wahoo McDaniel helping him to develop a tough wrestling style that carried him to stardom in the wrestling business. Chief Wahoo McDaniel became one of the biggest drawing cards in the wrestling. Later, as NWA world champion I faced Chief Wahoo McDaniel in Houston Texas in a world title match before a packed house in the Sam Houston Coliseum that lasted the extended time limit, 90 minutes to a draw. Chief Wahoo went on to draw record breaking business in the Mid Atlantic Territory wrestling against a young and coming superstar, Ric Flair. Chief Wahoo was one of the toughest and one of the nicest people in the wrestling business.

Li'l Wahoo McDaniel is following in those very famous footsteps.

I know that I'm not great and some say I imitate
Anymore I don't know I'm just doing the best I can
After all I'm standing in the shadows of a very famous man
As I travel around from town to town
I have a lot of dad's fans and friends come around
They say I know Chief Wahoo would be proud of you if he were here today

Yes they say Chief Wahoo was the all time great
And we know you'll be just as good as your dad
I just smile and say, "there'll never be another Chief Wahoo friends
That's the part that always makes them sad

So many times when I'm in that ring, I feel something go through me
And for a minute I'm in a different world and that's when it does something to me
The people are a hollering and clapping real aloud
While I'm out there dancing and throwing my chops
I look up toward the ceiling and I say to myself listen dad just listen to that crowd
But as the show goes on the people clap and holler more
That's the time that I know although you're gone your name will live on and on and on.
