Dennis (The Worm) Rodman & Dory (The Internet Cowboy) Funk Jr.

Bash at the Beach, Daytona, Florida

Dory and Dennis talk just after the match

The Conversation

Dennis: Hey Champ, How did I do?

Dory: Hot Rodman, you did a great job tonight.

Dennis: Yeah, I felt good and liked it but, I wish we would have won the match.

Dory: It's okay this was only your first match. Could you imagine how bad it would be if the wrestlers took on the Chicago Bulls in a basketball game!!!

Dennis: Hey, Yeah Man, I guess when you consider that I did pretty good didn't I?

Dory: Amen!

Dory's comments to Chriss of Entertainment Tonight

Don't let the dyed hair and all those earrings and tattoos fool you. Dennis is one heck of an athlete, and he has a brilliant mind. The hair color, nose ring, and tattoos did NOT get him into the NBA nor did they help him in the ring as a professional wrestler at WCW's bash at the beach. Lex Luger and The Giant are not easily impressed with gimmicks, but they must respect Rodman's athletic ability.

I was told by WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff that he thought the Pay Per View buy rate would be an all time record for his company much to the credit of the showman, Dennis Rodman. All great professional athletes today are part showman and part athlete.

I have seen dyed hair, sun glasses, and colorful outfits in pro wrestling before, but what impressed me about Rodman was his adaptability to professional wrestling. He really tried, and did do an acceptable job, especially for his first time out.

Dennis had an arm drag like Jack Brisco, The charisma of Dusty Rhodes, the mouth of Ric Flair, the brains of Eric Bischoff, and Hulk Hogan for a partner. What more could you ask???

Hot Rodman, Please tell Michael hello for me.

I will return home to the place to the place I love on Thursday September 11, 1997
