Johnny Downing, Sr.; also known as Johnny
Magnum. Johnny is retired from United States Army, holds an
Associate’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in theology
from Liberty University. He is currently working on his Masters
degree in counseling. Magnum is a protégé and student of former
four time heavy weight NWA champion, Dory Funk, Jr. When he’s not
slamming his opponent on the mat, he’s helping others get up from
life’s mat through the ministry. Johnny renders Sunday
services to the residents of a local assisted living facility.
A recipient of the Funking Conservatory fighting heart award, Johnny is a personal trainer
and group fitness instructor. If you want to see a smack down in
this town, catch Johnny Magnum in action the last Sunday night of
every month at the Dory Funk Arena. |
